Free STEP TO JOB Career Guidance Platform for Ukrainian Youth Launched in Poland and Germany
Pro Futuro Foundation, together with the Association for Innovative and Digital
Education (AIDE), in partnership with COZZ and Uni Europa, announces the launch of
steptojob.org – a digital career guidance platform for Ukrainian youth aged 16–24
residing in Poland and Germany.
The project is implemented with EU funding under the European Social Fund+, Social
Innovation Initiative.
Background
Due to Russia’s full-scale invasion, millions of young Ukrainians have found themselves
in Poland and Germany. Most of them face an unfamiliar labour market, language
barriers, violations of their rights, and exploitation by unreliable employers – including
undeclared employment, risks of unpaid wages, excessive working hours, and
discrimination. StepToJob was created specifically to provide qualified, verified information and support.
Career Guidance Assessment
At the core of the platform is a unique career guidance test. It determines the user’s
psychological profile (personality types, types of intelligence, soft skills, entrepreneurial
abilities) and aptitudes for professions from a catalogue of over 1,000 professions. Its
methodology is certified by the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine
and has received positive reviews from relevant institutions.
Based on the assessment results, the platform automatically generates an interactive
CV, which can be manually edited, exported as a PDF, or shared via a link. The platform
automatically translates users’ CVs into other languages (including Polish, German, and
English).
The platform enables each user to build an individual Career Roadmap consisting of 11
sequential steps: the career guidance assessment, CV creation, recording a video
business card, uploading certificates, a mock interview, goal-setting, finding a mentor,
and more. Career consultant support is available at certain steps.
Courses
The platform offers two types of courses, adapted separately for Poland and Germany:
- 5 labour market integration courses – covering the structure of the labour
market, youth labour rights, how to find a job, create a CV and ace an interview,
business etiquette, document processing, non-formal education, internships,
and more. Each course consists of 4 lessons, totalling 20 lessons per country. All
courses are available in multimedia format, allowing users to study at any time
and at their own pace, 24/7. - 50 courses on in-demand professions, built on real market demand, separately
for Poland and Germany. Each course gives an understanding of what a working
day in the chosen profession looks like, where to study and where to find work,
and the career prospects in that field.
The platform is free and accessible at: www.steptojob.org
